Italians upset over Crucified Frog Sculpture

Technically Foreign - Wed, 05/28/2008 - 18:52

I wish I could make this up, but this shows us how crazy the art world can be.  The green guy is about 3 feet tall and has really pissed off an Italian town where its on exhibit. What’s art without critics.  However I’m shocked that the animal rights organizations aren’t upset and I haven’t heard from Kermit the Frog either.  What I find very amazing is that this piece was done in the early 90’s and the artist, Martin Kippenberg, has been deceased since 1997. For more info read the Australian ABC news article I found this via - NY ARTS Magazine.

Technically a Translation??

Technically Foreign - Thu, 03/13/2008 - 17:10

A friend showed me this ‘translation’ of an Indian music video. I’m still laughing deep, deep, deeeeep inside. The translation (or interpretation or guess or this should be on the daily show) is exactly how I feel when I’m listening into foreign conversations. You pick-up on words, those English-like words and assume that’s what they are saying. Usually you’re batting way below average, but occasionally some English words like ‘Internet’, ‘Computer’ and ‘American Idol’ are easy to spot. For this video, I do believe this is not a ‘translation’ but the Technically Foreign way Indian’s speak:

Coffee And Computers…

Technically Foreign - Thu, 03/13/2008 - 17:03

I love coffee and Computers (well that hole bundle of joy called the Internet-gadget-billion-of-transistors). That’s a lot like having a pet mouse, cat and dog living in the same room. Only a matter of time before the expected arrives.  Information Technologies or for the lack of a better term ‘Computer Geek’ needs coffee (Or anything with caffeine) to function. Its written inside our DNA next to the ‘online-gaming addiction’ area. So this is a salute to all Coffee drinking Techy’s, Drink and Surf safely.

Is that an Expresso machine inside you or are you just too hyper to see me?
